ABOUT
“Scottish born. Texas raised. Nashville livin’.”
That’s how Callum Kerr sums up his personal roadmap to date. Even though he only just started releasing his own music, Kerr insists country music has been in his bones from day one, thanks to a grandfather who idolized Willie Nelson and a father who blasted Garth Brooks at home. Professionally, the Scottish actor has appeared in 13 different TV series and a handful of movies (Monarch on Fox, and Virgin River and One Piece, both on Netflix).
“Country music is such a passion of mine that I would happily play, listen to, and create it for free as a hobby for the rest of my life,” Kerr admits. “But knowing how strongly the genre has shaped me, I wanted to come to Nashville to see if I could make it part of my life in a bigger way. I’m really pumped about this opportunity.”
After signing a synergistic deal in 2024 with global music company ONErpm and production group Huff Co. (featuring producer of the decade Dann Huff and his brother, David), Kerr released his debut EP Roots Under Me.
“The new EP has six songs; the Huffs really nailed the sound, with big drums and wide, licking guitars,” Kerr says. “Country music has been part of my life, especially after moving to Texas at 17, so I’m extremely proud of how this turned out. We have love songs, breakup songs, drinking songs, and more—a classic country collage!”
Kerr also made his Grand Ole Opry debut on July 26th, 2025 as part of their 100 year celebration.
